If you are currently machining tubular shapes from heavy wall tube or bar stock, Vari-Wall cold forming technology can save you time, money, and raw material. Let us solve your tubular part problems by "Varying the Wall". Instead of machining expensive premium materials into chips, we use the entire mass of the starting blank to create the finished part. We produce net, or near net shapes to your exacting specification by varying the wall thickness, diameter and even the cross section.

If strength and weight savings are part of your design criteria, we can help. Vari-Wall Tubes provide thicker cross sections where needed for increased strength. Designs can be optimized for minimum weight and maximum strength. The cold forming process increases the mechanical properties of materials and improves machinability. Currently, applications are under development to use this technology to compliment the Hydroforming process. Hydroforming is a process in which a fluid is pumped into a hollow shape forcing it to conform to an enclosed die cavity. By using a Variable Wall tube blank, lighter and stronger structural components are a reality. Our tube blanks compensate for wall thinning outside the end feed zones in Hydroform processes, eliminating structural integrity concerns.
